Faculty Biographies:
Holly Kelfer is our Art Teacher. She earned her Master’s in Art Education from Tufts. She is an enthusiastic art educator who is inspired by current events, the environment, art trends throughout history, contemporary artists and also by her students’ interests.
Wendy Finnerty and Peggy Brennan have been Para Educators at Plymouth River School for more than 8 years and have taught hand sewing for both the East School Explorers program and PRS Voyagers program. Both Mrs. Brennan and Mrs. Finnerty love to be creative and enjoy teaching kids the basics of sewing.
Wendy Finnerty has been a Para Educator at Plymouth River School for seven years and has taught hand sewing for both the East School Explorers program and PRS Voyagers program. Mom of two, she has also been a Girl Scout leader in Hingham for the past 11 years. Mrs. Finnerty loves to be creative and enjoys teaching kids the basics of sewing.
Janice McPhillips is a former PRS parent and Farm Teacher with Friends of Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset. She enjoys sharing her love of gardening and cooking freshly harvested vegetables with children. (Fall and Spring Only)
Bobby DePesa is a member of the Technical Skateboard shop in Norwell. Bobby brings with him a teaching background and enthusiasm that can’t be beat. (Fall and Spring only)
Boris Samarov has been a fourth grade teacher at PRS for almost ten years. He has been teaching Lego Robotics for four years. He has loved tinkering with technology, doing creative things with computers, and building things with Legos for as long as he can remember. (Spring Only)
Mrs. Blake is the PRS Library Teacher. She is interested in learning new things through reading, research and experimentation. Mrs. Blake is a world traveler, loves to garden, cook and spend warm summer days reading at the beach.
AC Decker has worked in the Hingham Schools for 19 years as an Elementary Adjustment Counselor and he has been at PRS much of that time. He coached boys and girls lacrosse at Hingham High for 15 years. He has been a lifelong cyclist, including both mountain and road biking.
Jenn Gonzalez is the beloved Spanish teacher at PRS. She has her Master's degree in Special Education from Fitchburg State University. Mrs. Gonzalez loves to travel and enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog along Nantasket Beach.
Erica Ouellette is the beloved gym teacher at PRS. She loves sharing her interests in sports, teamwork, and exercise with the students.
Cassie Martinson grew up in Hingham, MA and has been teaching dance and fitness to youth and adults on the South Shore for over 10 years. She loves teaching body awareness through many aspects of movement. Cassie obtained her Bachelors Degree at Northeastern University and her Masters Degree at Wheelock College. She is extremely passionate about creating environments for people of all ages to build self confidence and self expression through movement and music. Credentials: ACE Youth Fitness Specialist, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, AHA CPR/AED, Zumba® (Zin), Zumba® Kids, Zumba® Toning, Secret Physique™ Barre Instructor, POUND® and GENERATION POUND® ICON and Pro, Rhythm Ride® Instructor.
Paidin Wilson and Emma Bucey have an infinite love for the sport of Irish Dance. Both teachers have danced for the same dance school since they were five years old. Combined, they have competitively danced locally, nationally, and internationally, and have performed in semi-professional and professional Irish Dance productions. Together they share high-ranking New England placements, national placements, and four World medals.
